Environmental Problems we should worry about!!!

Lets us have a look at the common issues which really has a drastic effects on the climate which
constituent for the Global Warming. Developing nations and emerging nations should consider these in there eco-friendly conversational plans.

Here are the 5 issues:
Nuclear Waste:
Close your eyes and imagine for a moment, that global warming were reversed, pesticides banned,
and the auto industry no longer received corporate welfare. Even as we celebrated, this reality
would remain:i.e., radiation is forever.
For e.g., the half-life most of these nuclear components
in the environment is 15 years which is bad enough. If u take that as more, hers the fact
half-life of uranium-235 is 704 million years; and for uranium-238, it's about 4.47 billion years.

Action Item: Nuclear Energy can never be clean energy.

Factory Farming
Remember juicy chicken leg pieces of our famous food restaurants. When we get into facts each day, factory farms (farms that grow animals commercially) produce billions of pounds of manure, which
ends up in lakes, rivers, and drinking water.Of all the agricultural land in the U.S and other countries most part is used grow animals for food and the grain to feed them. Chickens, pigs, cattle, and other animals raised for food are the primary consumers of water in the U.S. Imagine how many gallons of water is being consumed for these activities.
Action Item: Go vegetarian.

Deforestation
Remember school days giving names for Elocution on topics of popular topic Deforestation, studying for Social studies,Science exam with question on Deforestation. Yes, it is a serious problem as
we all know Deforestation, is the permanent destruction of indigenous forests and woodlands.
Greenpeace tells us that an area of natural forest the size of a football field is being chopped
down every two seconds. Many reasons for deforestation exists like cattle grazing, agriculture,
mining, oil extraction, population expansion, dams, pipelines and other infrastructure projects.
Action Item: Understanding the connection between what we eat and why trees are important.

Overfishing
For most of us Finding Nemo is one of the favourite animation movie. Our love to eat Sea Food has irreversible effects on the populations of fish in our oceans. If this continues a DVD of Finding Nemo is the only way we’ll be able to explain the concept of underwater life to our grandchildren.
Action Item: Away from fish in your diet.

Use of Pesticides
I think most have seen a vehicle going all around the city blowing thick gas for mosquitoes, and few kids playing on the gas going after that vehicles visualzing themselves as characters of a movie. We need to accept the use of pesticides is really increasing, starting from sprays to kill insects, on huge areas of crops etc. Though we cannot stop it completely we can always reduce the amounts.
Action Item: Go organic.

Though the thinking of one cannot make any big difference for these issues but the same thinking by all of us, Will for Sure make an impact. We can educate people on the outputs of these issues doing our part.
Go Green!!!!!!

Money down the drain

Still US and and its allies are seeing Taliban problem from one side only. They are not thinking about how to win Afghanis support to suppress Taliban movement. And also they are failed to realize two things. Firstly, in the recent attack on Afghan parliament, it is not the well equipped NATO troops but the Afghan National Army who fought against Taliban. Secondly, whenever the Taliban faced tough resistance from NATO forces, they simply escaped to the tribal areas of Pakistan and after some time they again come back to Afghanistan to continue their attacks. In this way these tribal areas are acting as breeding places for Taliban. So at least from now onwards US and its allies should concentrate on to improve capacity of Afghan National Army and to get heartily willingness from Pakistan side.

Growth in exports in dec 2009

At last our stimulus packages are producing results. Growth in exports and imports for the second consecutive month is welcoming phenomenon to our developing economy. These figures showing the early recovery of India (form recession) comparing to developed countries. Growth in exports reduces the trade deficit and also increases the Forex reserves. Growth in imports leads to growth in manufacture sector and generates employment opportunities. Most of our companies in steel, cement, fertilizers etc sectors use crude oil products as their fuel. So growth in imports of oil products (42.8% in December 2009) means increase in production in these (cement, steel, fertilizers) sectors. It finally leads to growth in construction and infrastructure sectors, which are labour intensive sectors. So there will be increase in employment opportunities. If it continues for the next 2-3 years, then we can achieve our double digit growth
target.
